Internal Pipe Renewal
CIPP Lining
CIPP Lining renews suitable existing pipes internally by installing a resin-saturated liner and curing it inside the pipe.
CIPP Lining Advice
Suitability depends on the route, access, existing services, ground information and the details supplied at enquiry stage.
What Is CIPP Lining?
CIPP stands for cured-in-place pipe. It is a trenchless renewal method that creates a new internal lining inside an existing pipe.
The method is used where the host pipe can remain in place and be lined rather than fully replaced.
How It Works
The existing pipe is inspected and prepared, then a resin-saturated liner is installed and cured in position. Once cured, the liner forms a new internal pipe surface.
Cleaning, survey information and access are important. The host pipe condition has to be suitable for lining.
When It Is Used
CIPP Lining is used for drainage, sewer and other pipe renewal works where the route can be accessed and the pipe condition allows lining.
It can be helpful where excavation would be disruptive and a structural or semi-structural lining approach is suitable.
Typical Applications
- Drainage and sewer renewal
- Internal pipe lining
- Pipe rehabilitation
- Local authority and commercial drainage works
Site Considerations
- Pipe survey and cleaning
- Diameter and length
- Access chambers
- Host pipe condition
- Connections and curing method
Benefits
- Renews pipes internally
- Avoids full replacement where suitable
- Reduces excavation
- Useful for drainage and sewer rehabilitation

What Information Should You Provide?
Useful enquiry information includes the project location, route length, pipe or duct size, depth, ground details if known, access points, drawings and site photos where available.
The more practical information you can share, the easier it is to identify whether CIPP Lining or another no-dig method may be suitable.
